About The Role

Position Highlights

This position provides strategic support and coordination for the implementation, administration, assessment, and continuous improvement of RIT's General Education Framework and university interdisciplinary academic programs. Serving as a key partner to college leadership, Academic Affairs leadership, faculty governance bodies, academic departments, and student support units, the position assists with institution-wide efforts to advance a coherent, high-quality General Education curriculum and interdisciplinary curricula that supports student success and institutional priorities.

The position is responsible for coordinating cross-functional initiatives, guiding curricular planning and policy implementation, facilitating faculty engagement and professional development for both General Education and interdisciplinary programs, monitoring program effectiveness, and identifying opportunities for improvement. Through collaborative facilitation and data-informed decision-making, this role helps ensure the General Education curriculum and interdisciplinary programs remain sustainable and aligned with the university's educational mission.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partners with academic faculty and staff on program development, implementation, and student engagement
  • Supports the development, coordination, and delivery of curriculum and materials to ensure compliance with established academic/university standards
  • Collects key assessment data to track and monitor progress toward program goals and report results to university leadership
  • Assists in program evaluation, monitors feedback and incorporates suggestions for improvement. Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of program initiatives and activities
  • Collaborates with faculty to support compliance with course delivery procedures and determine strategies for student engagement and academic support
  • Works in partnership with university partners and stakeholders to determine optimal ways to promote, grow, and execute programs, with the goal of continuous improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Equivalent combination of experience & education may be considered

Job Level Overview

Specialized Contributor Level 2 - A fully functional role requiring established knowledge of the profession or field of work. Responsible for completing substantive assignments and projects. Problems are varied and non-routine, and resolution requires exercising judgment, analysis, advisement, creativity, and understanding broader sets of issues. May provide assistance to entry level staff.

In compliance with NYS's Pay Transparency Act, the salary range for this position is listed above.
