A Day in the Life
The Energy-Based Devices portfolio focuses on technologies that support tissue dissection, vessel sealing, and procedural efficiency across a broad range of surgical specialties. This customer-facing sales role works closely with surgeons, operating room staff, hospital stakeholders, and channel partners to drive adoption of advanced surgical technologies while supporting clinical and commercial objectives within the assigned territory.
This position is based in Gurgaon and is a field-based role requiring regular customer visits, operating room presence, account management activities, and engagement with healthcare professionals across the territory. Travel is 70% for the said territory coverage area.
This role is responsible for driving sales performance, supporting product adoption, and building strong clinical and commercial relationships within the assigned territory. The individual will work closely with healthcare professionals to support product evaluations, identify growth opportunities, and execute territory plans that contribute to business objectives.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Achieve territory sales targets by driving product utilization, account penetration, and customer engagement across assigned accounts.
- Conduct daily sales calls and develop relationships with surgeons, operating room staff, purchasing teams, and hospital decision-makers.
- Maintain regular operating room presence to support product usage, clinical discussions, and procedural case coverage.
- Execute focus product growth plans through product demonstrations, evaluations, and competitive conversion activities.
- Develop and implement account plans for key accounts, including opportunity identification, stakeholder mapping, and revenue growth strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and academic institutions within the territory.
- Organize and support approved clinical education programs, Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities, and other customer engagement initiatives.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting on sales activities, market intelligence, competitive insights, and business performance metrics.
Required Knowledge and Experience: • High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 6+ years experience*
- OR Associate’s Degree AND 4+ years experience*
- OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience*
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling energy-based devices, surgical products, or operating room technologies.
- Experience providing operating room case support and assisting surgeons during product evaluations or procedures.
- Knowledge of hospital procurement processes, competitive market dynamics, and healthcare customer decision-making.
- Experience developing key account plans and driving adoption of premium or technology-based healthcare solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret territory trends, identify growth opportunities, and develop account-specific strategies.
