About The Role

We're looking for a highly driven Technical Project Manager who can bridge the gap between business, engineering, architecture, and delivery. This role is ideal for someone who understands software development, cloud platforms, AI/GenAI solutions, and modern engineering practices while leading complex technical programs from inception to production.

As a Technical Project Manager within the PSG PMO, you will drive cross-functional technology initiatives, manage engineering teams, coordinate architecture decisions, and ensure successful delivery of enterprise-grade digital transformation programs.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Program Delivery

  • Lead multiple complex technical programs across application development, cloud, AI/GenAI, automation, and platform engineering.
  • Own end-to-end project execution including planning, estimation, execution, deployment, and hypercare.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Architects, Product Owners, and Business Stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and delivery plans.
  • Drive technical solution discussions and ensure alignment between business requirements and engineering implementation.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, dependencies, and release planning.

Engineering & Delivery Management

  • Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams including Backend, Frontend, QA, DevOps, Data Engineering, AI/ML, and Infrastructure.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Release Planning.
  • Track development progress using Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar project management tools.
  • Ensure engineering teams follow SDLC best practices, coding standards, CI/CD, and release governance.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to manage deployments, environment readiness, and production releases.

Technical Leadership

  • Understand system architecture, APIs, microservices, cloud infrastructure, integrations, databases, and security considerations.
  • Identify technical dependencies, integration risks, and architectural constraints early in the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate technical decision-making by coordinating discussions between architects and engineering teams.
  • Drive adoption of Agile, DevSecOps, automation, and engineering best practices.

Stakeholder & Governance

  • Build trusted relationships with customers, senior leadership, engineering teams, and external vendors.
  • Present technical project status, risks, milestones, KPIs, and executive dashboards to leadership.
  • Manage RAID logs, governance meetings, steering committees, and executive reviews.
  • Escalate issues proactively and drive timely resolution.

Risk & Quality Management

  • Proactively identify technical and delivery risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to security, compliance, quality standards, and organizational governance.
  • Monitor project health using metrics such as Sprint Velocity, Burn-down, Release Readiness, Defect Leakage, and Delivery KPIs.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

  • 8–12+ years of experience managing enterprise software development and digital transformation programs.
  • Proven experience delivering cloud-native, enterprise application, AI/GenAI, automation, or platform engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development lifecycle and modern engineering practices.

Technical Knowledge

  • Good understanding of:
  • Cloud Platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP)
  • REST APIs & System Integrations
  • Microservices Architecture
  • CI/CD Pipelines
  • DevOps Practices
  • Databases (SQL/NoSQL)
  • Application Security Fundamentals
  • AI/GenAI Solution Delivery (Preferred)

Project Management

  • Strong expertise in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) with the ability to manage hybrid and Waterfall delivery models when required.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, and collaboration tools.
  • Experience managing distributed and cross-functional engineering teams.

Leadership & Communication

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent technical programs in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Certifications

  • PMP or PRINCE2
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) / Professional Scrum Master (PSM)
  • SAFe Agilist (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals / AWS Cloud Practitioner (Preferred)
