Position: EHS / Safety Officer - IBMS

Location: Bangalore

Employment Type: Contractual (Based on Business Requirement)

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced EHS / Safety Officer to support and oversee Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) compliance for IBMS (Integrated Building Management System) projects across Bangalore. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety programs, conducting site inspections, ensuring statutory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture across project sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure implementation of EHS policies, procedures, and safety standards at project sites.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments for IBMS project activities.
  • Monitor site activities and ensure compliance with statutory, client, and company safety requirements.
  • Develop and implement Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method Statements, and Risk Assessment documents.
  • Conduct safety induction programs, toolbox talks, and awareness training for employees and contractors.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel at site.
  • Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and customers on safety-related matters.
  • Maintain EHS records, reports, permits, and compliance documentation.
  • Monitor emergency preparedness and response plans at project sites.
  • Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and zero-harm environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • Diploma/Certification in Industrial Safety, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety qualification preferred.

Experience Required

  • 3 to 8 years of experience in EHS/Safety management.
  • Experience in IBMS, BMS, Building Automation, MEP, HVAC, Electrical, ELV, Construction, or Infrastructure projects .
  • Hands-on experience managing safety requirements at project and construction sites.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, permit-to-work systems, and contractor safety management.
