About The Role

About the role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Warehousing & Materials Officer to join our Asset & Facility Management team at Coppabella. This role plays a critical part in ensuring maintenance teams have the parts, materials, equipment and tools required to deliver reactive, planned and preventative maintenance across the village.

You will be responsible for managing inventory, freight logistics, stock control, purchasing and warehousing activities while maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards. Working closely with trades, village management and suppliers, you'll help keep our facilities running efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage warehouse operations including receiving, storing, issuing and tracking stock and materials
  • Coordinate freight logistics and goods receipting through JDE or similar inventory management systems
  • Raise, expedite and manage purchase orders
  • Maintain stock control processes including MIN/MAX inventory levels and stock transactions
  • Prepare and issue parts, materials and work packs to maintenance personnel
  • Coordinate and record gas transactions, chemical manifests and safety documentation
  • Maintain MSDS registers and ensure hazardous materials are stored safely and compliantly
  • Conduct stocktakes and inventory audits
  • Operate a forklift safely and maintain the laydown yard to a high standard
  • Coordinate vehicle servicing schedules, tooling registers and plant records
  • Support maintenance teams with materials, technical information and restricted task assistance as required
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and contractors
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across stores and warehousing operations

About you

  • Certificate III in Warehousing Operations or equivalent practical experience
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence
  • Current Forklift Licence
  • Previous experience in warehousing, stores or materials management, preferably within mining, construction, maintenance or heavy industry environments
  • Experience using JDE or similar inventory and purchasing systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Safety-focused with a commitment to maintaining high operational standards
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise competing demands in a remote environment
