
Senior Line Equipment Technician

About The Role
Our client, a growing medical device manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Senior Line Equipment Technician to provide high-level technical support within its cleanroom manufacturing operation.
This is a permanent, on-site position offering a base salary of up to €48,000, depending on experience, plus a 20% shift premium and additional benefits.
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 3:30pm–12:00am
- Friday: 2:15pm–8:15pm
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Engineer, you will act as the technical subject-matter expert for automated manufacturing equipment on the evening shift. You will take ownership of complex equipment issues, support production continuity and lead improvement work aimed at increasing equipment reliability and line performance.
This is a hands-on position requiring strong electrical fault-finding ability and previous experience maintaining automated equipment in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical and pneumatic equipment faults.
- Lead root-cause investigations into recurring or high-impact equipment failures.
- Implement permanent engineering solutions rather than short-term equipment fixes.
- Analyse equipment downtime data and present trends, findings and corrective action plans.
- Complete planned preventive maintenance activities and improve PM procedures where required.
- Lead equipment improvement and line-stability projects.
- Support cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop concepts and prototypes for jigs, fixtures and production tooling.
- Use 3D printing and other prototyping methods to assess tooling ideas before machining.
- Ensure tooling, fixtures and equipment spares are available and maintained in suitable working condition.
- Complete daily equipment checks and review machine settings and work methods.
- Provide technical guidance to production employees and support the onboarding of new technicians.
- Maintain accurate equipment, maintenance and manufacturing documentation.
- Communicate equipment issues, technical findings and resolution plans clearly to engineering and production stakeholders.
- Work in accordance with all applicable quality, safety and GMP requirements.
