About The Role

Bristlecone India Limited is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Specialist to join its S4 HANA Technical – Delivery department. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining ABAP objects for S/4HANA environments, providing end‑to‑end support from requirement analysis through production deployment, and ensuring high‑quality, performant code that aligns with business objectives.

Develop and enhance ABAP reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions, and forms (RICEF) for S/4HANA.
Perform detailed technical analysis, design, and code reviews to ensure compliance with SAP best practices.
Create and maintain custom BAPIs, BADIs, user‑exits, and enhancement spots.
Integrate SAP modules using IDocs, ALE, and OData services.
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues promptly.
Provide 2nd/3rd level support for ABAP objects in live environments.
Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Participate in code migration, testing, and deployment activities using CTS and Transport Management System.
Document technical specifications, test cases, and solution architecture.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge‑sharing sessions.
Minimum 5 years of hands‑on ABAP development experience, preferably on S/4HANA.
Strong expertise in ABAP OO, BAPI, BADI, IDoc, ALE, and OData services.
Proven experience in performance tuning and debugging complex ABAP programs.
Solid understanding of SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP) and their integration points.
Experience with SAP NetWeaver, Eclipse ADT, and SAP Web IDE.
Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology and agile delivery practices.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under production pressure.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., ABAP Development, S/4HANA) are a plus.
