About The Role

Bristlecone India Limited is seeking a seasoned Senior Consultant with deep expertise in SAP ABAP and OData services to join our S4 HANA Technical – Delivery team. The role involves end‑to‑end development, enhancement, debugging, and production support of ABAP‑based interfaces and gateways, ensuring high‑quality delivery for complex enterprise solutions.

Design, develop, and maintain OData services using SAP ABAP Gateway.
Implement enhancements, custom reports, and interfaces in ABAP for S/4HANA landscapes.
Perform root‑cause analysis, debugging, and resolution of production issues.
Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Conduct code reviews and enforce SAP best practices and coding standards.
Provide on‑site and remote production support for critical SAP applications.
Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning activities.
Create technical documentation, test cases, and user guides.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge‑sharing sessions.
Assist in architectural decisions and contribute to solution design workshops.
Minimum 7 years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience.
Strong expertise in SAP ABAP Gateway and OData service creation.
Proven experience with enhancements, BAPI, IDoc, and RFC interfaces.
Solid debugging skills and experience in production support environments.
Knowledge of S/4HANA architecture and migration concepts.
Familiarity with SAP UI5/Fiori is a plus.
Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Relevant SAP certifications (e.g., ABAP, OData) preferred.
