- Sourcing, processing and transforming data for reporting and visualisation tools, including PowerBI, while maintaining accurate and efficient data structures and identifying opportunities for enhancement;
- Maintaining and enhancing recurring reports across agreed deliverable formats, independently resolving data and reporting issues, and providing timely outputs to stakeholders;
- Designing and delivering ad hoc reports across agreed deliverable formats to address stakeholder requirements;
- Monitoring portfolio exposures, performance and risk using investment applications, identifying key drivers, and responding to stakeholder queries in a clear and timely manner;
- Conducting scenario and what-if analysis to support portfolio construction decisions;
- Supporting the preparation of periodic and ad hoc papers for internal committees, and recording accurate minutes from committee meetings;
- Assisting with day-to-day portfolio management activities and coordinating with internal teams to support effective implementation of investment decisions.
What You’ll Need
- Sound understanding of equity investment concepts, including portfolio performance and risk measures, portfolio construction frameworks, style factors and key macroeconomic return drivers;
- Advanced ability to analyse, interpret and manipulate data using tools such as Python and Excel, and proficiency in using Python to automate data processing, and reporting workflows;
- Proficiency in developing clear data visualisations and presentation materials, particularly in PowerBI;
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy, consistency and quality across all outputs;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues across the Investments department;
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics or a related quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics or Computer Science;
- CFA charterholder status or progress towards CFA accreditation would be advantageous;
- Prior experience in a fund-of-funds management environment would be advantageous along with a strong understanding of financial instruments, particularly equity derivatives;
