Job Summary:**

The Host/Cashier Swing for the Steakhouse is responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing reservations, seating guests efficiently, and accurately handling cash and credit card transactions. This role ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for all diners in a fast-paced, high-end environment.

Job Responsibilities:**

Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, confirming reservations and managing waitlists.
Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and communicating any specials or important information.
Maintain accurate seating charts and floor plans, ensuring optimal table turnover and guest flow.
Answer phones professionally, taking reservations, and addressing guest inquiries.
Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit cards, and gift certificates.
Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring all transactions are accounted for.
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Resolve guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and discretion.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including cash handling protocols and guest service standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications:**

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in a host/cashier role, preferably in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in basic math and cash handling procedures.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (swing shift availability is essential).
Knowledge of POS systems (e.g., Aloha, OpenTable) is a plus.
Must be able to obtain and maintain all necessary gaming licenses and certifications, if applicable.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
