Job Description

Private Equity Overview

Alantra Private Equity is one of the leading PE managers in Iberia, with more than 25 years of market experience. Alantra PE invests in mid-market companies (€5-30m EBITDA) operating primarily in the food, healthcare and industry tech sectors, mainly based in Iberia.

Role Description

The successful candidate will play a senior role across the full investment cycle, from origination and execution to portfolio management and exit.

  • Origination and execution: Assess investment opportunities and lead financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, transaction structuring and financing.
  • Investment Committee: Prepare and present investment recommendations and supporting materials.
  • Portfolio management: Work closely with management teams and boards to monitor performance and drive strategic and operational value-creation initiatives.
  • Exit execution: Contribute to the preparation and execution of portfolio company exits.
  • Fundraising: Support fundraising, investor relations and fund reporting activities. Team development: Supervise and mentor junior investment professionals.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of relevant experience, including substantial Private Equity exposure. Previous experience in Investment Banking, Strategic Consulting or Transaction Advisory Services would be valued.
  • Proven experience in executing and managing private equity investments.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, due diligence and structuring skills. Experience working with portfolio companies and management teams.
  • Excellent leadership, commercial judgement and communication skills.
  • Excellent English, both written and spoken. Other languages would be a plus. Advanced command of Microsoft Office and relevant financial databases. Proactive, entrepreneurial and results-oriented mindset, with strong attention to detail.
