Position Summary

As a school speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA), you will

  • Provide therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Implement treatment plans designed by supervising SLPs
  • Support students in achieving IEP goals through therapy activities
  • Collect and document data on student progress
  • Assist with preparation of therapy materials and activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families as directed by the supervising SLP

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program, or equivalent coursework in communication sciences and disorders
  • State SLPA license or credential (if applicable) or in the process of applying
  • School-based experience preferred but not required
