Oliver Wyman Vector is a technical services consulting business that serves the aerospace, aviation, defense, rail, and maritime sectors.

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the management and enhancement of our cloud infrastructure on AWS, while ensuring high standards of cybersecurity are maintained. This includes implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, automating processes, and ensuring the integrity and security of our systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure-as-code (IaC) on AWS.
  • Automate processes using tools such as AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), CloudFormation, Ansible, or Terraform.
  • Implement security measures in the cloud environment to safeguard data and applications.
  • Optimize AWS services for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and audits.
  • Work closely with development, IT, and operations teams to define and implement scalable solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive professional experience in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps engineering, cloud engineering, or a closely related role.
  • Strong experience with AWS, including services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, and VPC.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Understanding of container orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with security frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
  • Knowledge of network security, identity and access management (IAM), and encryption technologies.

Preferred Skills

  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) methodologies.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position will be eligible for performance-based incentives.
