About This Opportunity
The Client Relationship Manager leads the client relationship and stakeholder engagement activities of the UQ Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH).
This pivotal role sits at the heart of a collaborative and purpose-driven environment in the VTH Management team, strengthening partnerships across the veterinary sector while supporting high-quality student training and business sustainability.
Working closely with VTH leadership and School stakeholders, you will help elevate the profile and impact of the Veterinary School, contributing to a shared vision of excellence in veterinary science and creating meaningful value for clients, students, and the wider community.
Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to
- Lead client focussed initiatives through feedback and communications relation to experiences in the hospital and work with departmental stakeholders to resolve client concerns.
- Lead client engagement and communication initiatives, ensuring exceptional service delivery and continuous improvement through feedback and insights.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with veterinary practices, industry partners, and community stakeholders to support caseload growth and training outcomes.
- Partner with internal teams to deliver engagement, communications, and advancement initiatives, including events, campaigns, and social media management for the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
- Lead and develop the UQ Vets Client Liaison Team, fostering a welcoming and compassionate approach in a high-performance, client-focused culture in both the Small Animal and Equine Hospital reception.
This is a full-time, fixed term position through to 27th August 2027, at HEW Level 7.
About You
- A degree in business, communications, or marketing with at least four (4) years subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in communication, marketing, or stakeholder engagement within a professional service environment.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to build and sustain meaningful relationships across industry and community stakeholders.
- Experience engaging with external clients, including industry bodies and members of the public.
- Demonstrated cultural awareness and ability to engage effectively with diverse communities.
- Proven ability to contribute to business development while supporting learning and development outcomes.
- Experience promoting clinical services or complex operational environments is highly regarded.
