About The Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant / Specialist Maternal and Fetal Medicine to join our Obstetrics and Gynecology team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care for women with high-risk pregnancies, perform advanced fetal assessments, and manage complex maternal and fetal conditions while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert consultation and management for high-risk pregnancies and complex obstetric conditions.
  • Perform and interpret advanced obstetric and fetal ultrasound examinations, including fetal anomaly scans, growth assessments, and Doppler studies.
  • Diagnose and manage maternal medical disorders complicating pregnancy.
  • Perform prenatal diagnostic procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (where credentialed).
  • Develop individualized care plans for patients with maternal and fetal complications.
  • Counsel patients and families regarding prenatal diagnoses, fetal abnormalities, pregnancy risks, and available treatment options.
  • Collaborate closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, geneticists, anesthesiologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in labor and delivery management for high-risk obstetric cases as required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, research, teaching, and continuing medical education activities.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or equivalent recognized qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Fellowship or subspecialty qualification in Maternal and Fetal Medicine.
  • Valid medical license or eligibility for licensure in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing high-risk pregnancies and performing advanced fetal imaging and prenatal diagnostic procedures.
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centered care.
