Consultant / Specialist Surgical Oncologist In a Leading Healthcare Facility

About The Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant / Specialist Surgical Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary oncology team. The successful candidate will provide expert surgical management of patients with benign and malignant tumors, delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care while collaborating closely with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and other specialists.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and surgically manage patients with a wide range of solid tumors and oncologic conditions.
- Perform complex oncologic surgical procedures using open, minimally invasive, and laparoscopic techniques where appropriate.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary tumor boards.
- Provide comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Coordinate patient care with medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, and other specialties.
- Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical risks, and expected outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary cancer meetings, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to research, clinical trials, teaching, and mentoring of junior medical staff where applicable.
- Stay current with advances in surgical oncology techniques, clinical guidelines, and best within multidisciplinary oncology programs.

Requirements
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or recognized postgraduate qualification in General Surgery.
- Fellowship or subspecialty training in Surgical Oncology.
- Valid medical license or eligibility for licensure in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience as a Specialist or Consultant Surgical Oncologist.
- Expertise in the surgical management of gastrointestinal, breast, hepatobiliary, endocrine, soft tissue, and other oncologic conditions as applicable.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
