POSTING
In this role, you will
- Drive technology development projects from concept to implementation, ensuring performance, timeline, and budget targets are met
- Carry out assignments of substantial variety and/or complexity requiring a sound understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to align technical goals with business priorities, implement effective design solutions, and support ongoing initiatives
- Perform daily engineering tasks including rapid prototyping, test development, experimental setup, testing, analysis, and documentation of results and conclusions
- Research and procure equipment to support development efforts and enhance team tools, workflows, and knowledge sharing
Are you qualified? The essential requirements of the job include
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or other relevant engineering degree
- 5+ years of experience in product design and implementation, prototyping, and engineering analysis
- Skilled in testing, validation, experimental design, and data analysis
- Proficient in SolidWorks and knowledge of manufacturing processes (3D printing, injection molding, CNC machining etc.)
- Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in
- Working with UVC LEDs, optical sensors, or related optical hardware
- CFD and thermal simulations for design validation and optimization
- Using scripting languages for numerical simulation (e.g., MATLAB, Python) and database design
- Test automation and data acquisition systems, including scripting (e.g., Python, LabVIEW)
- Electrical design, reading schematics, panel wiring, test tools (e.g. oscilloscopes) and hands-on assembly
- UVC disinfection principles such as fluence rate, dose-response, and pathogen inactivation
