[What Product Management or Product Operations TAP is]

As a Technology Associate in Product Management (PM) or Product Operations (Product Ops) , you’ll start your career learning how digital products and services are built, operated and improved to solve real problems for people in Singapore.

Over the three-year Technology Associate Programme (TAP), you’ll develop the foundational skills expected of a Product Manager or Product Operations Specialist . You’ll work on well-scoped problems with guidance from experienced practitioners, while collaborating with product managers, product operations specialists, designers, engineers and other partners on real government products and services.

As a Product Manager, you will learn to

  • Understand and clearly describe the problem you are trying to solve.
  • Conduct user and stakeholder research with guidance.
  • Gather evidence and identify basic patterns and insights.
  • Identify assumptions and learn how to test them before building.
  • Define simple measures of success linked to the problem.
  • Write user stories and support backlog and delivery activities.
  • Work closely with design and engineering to deliver well-scoped product improvements.
  • Understand basic technical concepts and participate in technical discussions.
  • Recognise different options and trade-offs, with support in making product decisions.
  • Learn from feedback, results and things that do not go as planned.

As a Product Operations Specialist, you will learn to

  • Understand and describe operational problems affecting product teams or users.
  • Support improvements to processes, workflows and ways of working.
  • Gather and use operational data and user feedback to understand what is happening.
  • Support user engagement, onboarding and feedback activities.
  • Coordinate activities and information across product, design, engineering and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to well-scoped operational improvements with guidance from experienced Product Ops practitioners.
  • Recognise different operational approaches and learn how to evaluate basic trade-offs.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Learn from feedback and continuously improve how you work.

You are not expected to already be an experienced Product Manager or Product Operations Specialist . TAP is designed to give you the experience, coaching and opportunities to build these foundations.

[What we are looking out for]

  • You are a Singapore citizen or Singaporean Permanent Resident
  • You will be graduating from university and are able to commence work in 2027, or have less than one year of work experience.
  • You have a degree in any discipline.
  • You are curious about users, technology and how digital products solve real-world problems.
  • You can break down a problem and explain your thinking clearly.
  • You are willing to gather evidence rather than rely only on assumptions.
  • You enjoy working with people from different disciplines and perspectives.
  • You take ownership of the work given to you and follow through on commitments.
  • You are open to feedback and demonstrate a strong learning mindset.
  • You are comfortable asking questions when you do not know something.
  • You are interested in how technology works, but you do not need to be an engineer.
  • You are motivated to use technology to create meaningful impact for people.

Prior Product Management or Product Operations experience is not required . We welcome evidence from internships, coursework, school projects, personal projects, community work or other experiences that demonstrate your ability to solve problems, collaborate and learn.
