About The Role

We are looking for a AI-Driven 4G PHY SW Tech Lead to work on the architecture, implementation, and real-time optimization of the LTE Layer 1 (PHY) software stack. You will be a technical authority for the domain, working across MAC, System, Integration, QA, and Product Management to deliver carrier-grade Open RAN solutions. A core part of the role is advancing how the team applies AI and agentic software development to a large, high-performance codebase, accelerating design, debugging, and delivery.

What you will do

  • Lead the design, development, and evolution of the LTE Layer 1 (PHY) software stack.
  • Drive PHY features end to end: architecture, implementation, optimization, testing, and production support.
  • Drive performance optimization, debugging, and root cause analysis for carrier-grade real-time reliability.
  • Shape the software architecture and technical roadmap of our Open RAN platform.
  • Mentor engineers, set the bar for engineering practice, and partner with MAC, System Engineering, Integration, QA, and Product Management.
  • Apply agentic software development and LLM-based workflows, and evaluate new tools as they emerge.

What you should have

  • 3+ years as a Technical Lead or Senior Software Engineer on complex software projects.
  • Strong knowledge of the wireless physical layer (PHY), ideally 4G/5G or another OFDM-based technology.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic software development and LLM-based workflows, plus a basic understanding of AI internals and RAG.
  • Excellent C/C++ and multi-threaded development on Linux-based real-time embedded systems.
  • Solid DSP fundamentals, with a track record of optimizing for latency, CPU, and memory.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting in complex embedded and distributed systems.
  • Fluent with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.
  • Strong communicator who can mentor engineers and guide technical decisions across teams.

Nice to Have

  • Open RAN (O-RAN) architecture, eNodeB/gNodeB, or baseband software development.
  • SIMD optimization (AVX, SSE, NEON) on ARM and x86.
  • MATLAB or Python for algorithm development and validation.
  • Cloud-native telecom platforms, containerized deployments, or large-scale wireless infrastructure.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
