Job summary
As an Analyst in the Client Fee Operations team, you will support the end-to-end setup and maintenance of client fee calculation records, ensuring alignment with executed fee agreements, system capabilities, and control requirements. You will review fee agreements, interpret fee terms, coordinate onboarding activities with cross-functional partners, and help identify opportunities to improve processes and automation.
Job responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end onboarding and setup of new or amended client fee calculation records based on executed fee agreements.
- Review new and amended fee agreements pre- and post-execution to support accurate fee setup and maintenance.
- Interpret fee calculation terms and provide clear recommendations on calculation language and operational feasibility within system capabilities.
- Produce sample fee calculations as needed to validate interpretation and support consistent implementation.
- Set up and maintain client fee calculation records in fee calculation systems in accordance with fee agreements and documented special handling requirements, as applicable.
- Participate in testing complex fee structures using available user tools and configurable rule logic, as applicable.
- Monitor dashboards and rule-based monitoring for new or updated calculation records within established timelines.
- Communicate initial and final fee notifications to invoicing and market value data partners, following agreed procedures.
- Adhere to the established risk and control framework for client fee calculation records and required tools.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- 1 year minimum experience in financial services or a related field (or equivalent education).
- Strong attention to detail with a consistent focus on accuracy, controls, and deadlines.
- Ability to interpret written terms and translate them into clear, operational steps.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information succinctly.
- Ability to work independently and identify when to seek assistance or escalate.
- Comfort working in ambiguity and adapting to change while creating clarity and alignment.
- Growth mindset and willingness to learn new fee types, calculations, and processes.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Education or experience in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
- Experience interpreting fee agreements and supporting fee calculations or performance analytics.
- Strong technical skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Access.
- Strong analytical and data-mining skills.
- Developing experience using AI-powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational processes
