About The Role

As the EMEA Strategy & Go-to-Market Excellence Senior Manager , you will act as a key strategic partner to the EMEA President / GM and Regional Leadership Team, shaping the region’s long-term strategic agenda and translating Salomon’s global ambition into clear regional growth priorities and go-to-market choices across Europe + Export.

You will play a central role in shaping and animating the EMEA Long-Term Strategic Plan (LTSP), evolving our omnichannel go-to-market strategy, developing new business cases and leading high-priority cross-functional strategic initiatives across Wholesale/B2B, Retail, E-commerce and Regional Marketing, spanning Performance and Sportstyle.

You will also help orchestrate the end-to-end GTM governance from seasonal planning through in-market execution, ensuring strategic alignment, effective decision-making and continuous improvement across functions, channels and markets.

Role purpose

  • Shape and animate the EMEA Long-Term Strategic Plan (LTSP), translating global ambition into clear regional strategic choices, priorities and growth initiatives
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to the EMEA President / GM and Regional Leadership Team, framing strategic questions, challenging assumptions and enabling high-quality decision-making
  • Shape and evolve the EMEA go-to-market strategy and business models across Europe + Export and the full omnichannel ecosystem
  • Drive effective end-to-end GTM governance, from seasonal planning through in-market execution, ensuring alignment, clear decision-making and continuous improvement across the regional organization
  • Lead high-priority, complex cross-functional strategic initiatives with significant regional business impact
  • Identify and assess new growth opportunities, channel and market models, strategic investments and operating model choices through robust business cases
  • Animate strategic governance and Regional Leadership Team priorities, driving alignment, clear decisions and execution follow-through

Specific responsibilities

  • Shaping and animating the EMEA LTSP process across Europe + Export, ensuring alignment between regional growth ambition, global strategy, market opportunities and organizational capabilities
  • Developing the regional GTM strategy across Wholesale/B2B, Retail, E-commerce and Regional Marketing, including channel strategy, customer and distribution models, and omnichannel development in close collaboration with the EMEA leadership team members
  • Orchestrating and continuously improving end-to-end GTM governance from seasonal planning through in-market execution, ensuring clear milestones, decision rights, cross-functional alignment and effective escalation across Merchandising, Marketing, Sales, Retail, E-commerce, Supply Chain and other key stakeholders
  • Structuring complex strategic decisions by framing options, challenging assumptions, assessing commercial and financial trade-offs and developing clear recommendations for regional leadership
  • Developing robust business cases for new growth opportunities, investments, market/channel choices and new business or operating models
  • Leading high-priority cross-functional strategic initiatives from problem definition and strategic recommendation through implementation
  • Shaping and animating regional strategic governance, including Leadership Team reviews, strategic planning sessions and offsites, ensuring clear priorities, decisions and follow-through
  • Conducting market, channel, competitive and performance analyses to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decision-making
  • Defining and tracking strategic KPIs and GTM effectiveness measures, providing transparency on performance, risks, dependencies and key decisions

Essential skills & experience

  • 6–8+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate/regional strategy, GTM strategy or a comparable strategic environment; significant experience in a top-tier management consulting firm and/or regional strategy and GTM roles strongly preferred.
  • Experience in sporting goods, apparel, footwear, consumer goods, retail or other omnichannel consumer industries is a plus
  • Proven track record of independently structuring and leading complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives in ambiguous and fast-paced environments
  • Strong understanding of omnichannel consumer businesses across Wholesale/B2B, Retail and E-commerce, with experience in GTM models and commercial planning
  • Exceptional strategic problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear executive-level recommendations
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience developing business cases and assessing growth opportunities and strategic investments
  • Demonstrated experience working with senior executives and influencing critical business decisions
  • Strong ability to establish and animate effective cross-functional governance, translating strategy into aligned execution across complex organizations
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority

Desired qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Finance or a related field; MBA from a leading international business school is a plus
  • Languages: Fluent in English
