OutsourcedIn is partnering with an Australian client to hire an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across toner, ink, printer hardware, consumables, and Managed Print Services (MPS).
This role focuses on generating qualified B2B opportunities, building strong client relationships, and supporting pipeline conversion across SMEs, corporates, education, healthcare, and government sectors.
The ideal candidate has proven experience within the Australian print or office supplies industry and is confident managing the full sales cycle in a remote environment.
About the Role
You will be responsible for prospecting new clients, qualifying opportunities, and supporting proposal and sales activities while working closely with internal sales and operations teams.
This is a pipeline-driven role focused on recurring revenue growth and long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
- Identify and prospect new B2B clients across SMEs, corporates, education, healthcare, and government sectors
- Generate qualified opportunities for toner, ink, printers, consumables, and Managed Print Services
- Conduct outbound outreach via calls, email, LinkedIn, and industry databases
Pipeline & Sales Support
- Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation through appointment setting and closing support
- Build relationships with procurement teams, office managers, and IT decision-makers
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and product recommendations
CRM & Market Engagement
- Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting
- Collaborate with marketing on campaigns and promotional initiatives
- Monitor competitor activity and pricing trends within the Australian market
Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience within the Australian print or office supplies industry (ESSENTIAL)
- Strong knowledge of toner, ink, printers, consumables, and Managed Print Services
- Proven B2B sales and lead generation experience
- Experience working with Australian procurement processes and business clients
- Confident outbound sales and relationship-building skills
- CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment
Highly Regarded
- Existing network within the Australian print or office supplies industry
- Experience selling major brands (HP, Canon, Brother, Epson, Kyocera, etc.)
- Experience with contract-based Managed Print Services sales
- Understanding of cost-per-print models and fleet optimisation strategies
