About The Role

The Production Start-Up Senior Engineer will join the Operations / Production team and will play a key role in the transition from mechanical completion to handover, start-up, performance testing, and early operations of LNG train facilities.

Key responsibilities include

  • Develop subsystem start-up sequences
  • Participate in the preparation and witnessing of critical commissioning activities
  • Verify handover readiness by reviewing commissioning completion dossiers, RFSU dossiers, punch lists, as-built documentation, operating manuals, and operating procedures
  • Review and contribute to the development of start-up procedures in line with operator standards
  • Support validation of start-up procedures using an Operator Training Simulator
  • Participate in RFSU walkdowns with EPC contractors
  • Witness ESD, EDP, and F&G cause & effect tests
  • Define and follow up vendor mobilization plans for the post-handover period
  • Lead LNG train start-up activities in coordination with Production teams
  • Attend SIMOPS coordination meetings
  • Support performance test execution and review final test reports
  • Propose improvements to operational procedures and processes based on facility performance
  • Support troubleshooting, technical studies, planned shutdown preparation, and warranty claim inputs
  • Master’s degree or higher in Applied Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in start-up and operations of LNG production plants
  • Strong experience in LNG train start-up, commissioning-to-operations transition, or early LNG operations
  • Previous experience in roles such as LNG Production Engineer, LNG Process Engineer, Start-Up Engineer, Start-Up Superintendent, Shift Superintendent, or similar
  • Excellent knowledge of LNG plant processes, cryogenic systems, refrigeration loops, utilities, flare / BOG systems, and start-up operations
  • Proven experience with handover readiness, RFSU dossiers, punch list management, and critical commissioning activities
  • Strong knowledge of HSE Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems, and ISO 14001 requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of Permit to Work systems and SIMOPS coordination in Oil & Gas environments
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Excellent written and spoken English
