UOW College Australia is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Wollongong. Since 1988, we have been offering students alternative entry to UOW through university preparation courses. Our product offerings include Academic programs (Higher Education Diplomas and University Access Programs), English Programs, and Vocational programs.

Program Manager, English and Partner Pathways

About the Role

The Program Manager, English and Partner Pathways leads, manages and oversees global initiatives and offshore programs for UOW College Australia, while holding overall responsibility for English language programs. This role supports the delivery of high-quality, compliant and commercially sustainable programs across Australia and offshore locations, with travel to offshore delivery locations required.

Reporting to the General Manager UOWCA and working closely with UOWCA leadership, marketing, People & Culture, Finance, Compliance, UOW stakeholders, offshore partners and external bodies, this role is central to strengthening UOWCA’s global program delivery, academic quality, partner engagement and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery, implementation and transition of offshore programs, ensuring operational efficiency, effective partner relationships, contract compliance and regular reporting.
  • Ensure academic excellence across offshore programs, including quality teaching and learning, curriculum, assessment, staff development, accreditation compliance and publication of results.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to use AI to improve operational efficiency, student learning experience, staff support, marking and moderation.
  • Expand UOWCA’s global reach by identifying and developing new offshore partnerships and business opportunities for college programs.
  • Provide strategic leadership for English Language Programs in Australia.

Selection Criteria

The successful candidate will have

  • Postgraduate qualifications in TESOL or a related discipline.
  • At least five years’ full-time experience teaching or leading TESOL programs at adult and/or secondary level.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a commercial operation in the education sector, including financial management, budget setting and management for a multi-million-dollar operation.
  • Extensive experience and evidence of innovation in curriculum development, course design and course management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans and manage effective relationships across all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong understanding of English language, academic pathways, higher education, transnational education delivery and vocational education, including TEQSA and ASQA requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to the values of Passion, Courage, Integrity, Excellence, Collaboration and Innovation.
  • Certified proof of right to work in Australia.
