About The Role

Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

Not every supervisor role comes with the chance to work on critical infrastructure and enjoy a genuine work-life balance.

We're looking for a 3 Waters Site Supervisor to help lead the delivery of works at the Redwood Water Treatment Plant and associated pump stations in Tasman. This is a unique fixed-term opportunity through to June 2027, working a part-time roster of three 10-hour shifts per week.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your time buried in paperwork. We're after someone who enjoys being out on site, leading from the front, solving problems before they become problems and helping teams deliver quality outcomes safely and efficiently.

You'll coordinate crews and subcontractors, oversee day-to-day site activities, assist with planning works and ensure projects are delivered to specification, on schedule and with safety at the forefront. You'll work closely with the Project Manager while building strong relationships with clients, contractors and stakeholders.

One day might involve coordinating crews and reviewing methodologies, the next could see you managing subcontractors, resolving site challenges or ensuring critical plant and equipment are operating effectively. Whatever the task, you'll be the person helping keep the project moving in the right direction.

If you enjoy responsibility, like having ownership of your site and want a role where your experience is genuinely valued, we'd love to hear from you.

Mōu koe | About You

You will bring

  • Five or more years' experience within 3 Waters, civil construction or infrastructure environments
  • Proven experience leading crews, coordinating subcontractors and overseeing site delivery
  • Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to make decisions, provide direction and adapt to changing site conditions
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships
  • A strong commitment to safety, quality and environmental performance
  • A proactive mentality with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Full Class 1 Driver Licence

Highly regarded

  • Mechanical Trade qualification, Drainlaying qualification, Water Treatment or Water Reticulation Level 4 certification
  • Traffic Management training

You're the type of person who sees what needs to be done and gets it sorted. You know how to get the best out of a team, keep projects on track and create a positive site culture where safety and quality come naturally.
