The opportunity

Fitn e ss & Lifestyle Group (FLG) are thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for a customer-centric IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic and innovative IT Service & Support team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role is based in our modern, open-plan support office in the vibrant heart of South Brisbane.

As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our information technology network, applications, and desktop equipment. Through incident, problem, and service request management, you will leverage your extensive L1/L2 experience to provide top-tier support to various internal stakeholders. Your ability to deliver outstanding customer service, coupled with your quick-thinking problem-solving skills, will be essential in resolving desktop and application issues efficiently and effectively.

Key duties and responsibilities include

  • Manage and take ownership of IT request tickets through the entire lifecycle while updating relevant teams
  • Provide exceptional customer experience via phone, chat and self-service to trouble-shoot solutions for hardware and operating systems issues that affect our users
  • Act as an escalation point for L evel 1 and 2 support
  • Run Major Incident Protocols as required
  • Provide hands on support to Staff at our West End support office
  • Working with the Service Desk Team Lead to identify and propose system enhancements and improvements
  • Provide after-hours support as part of an on-call roster

To be successful in this role, you will

  • Be proactive in nature with the ability to work autonomously whilst being an engaging and collaborative team player
  • Genuinely enjoy working as part of a team in the office, developing strong working relationships across multiple departments.
  • Have a strong customer centric approach with excellent oral and written communication skills to problem solve and support users with varying technical abilities

Essential skills / experience

  • A few years experience in a similar system administration or ICT Support role/Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft Stack applications and tools including Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure and Endpoint Manager
  • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Be proactive in nature with the ability to work autonomously whilst being an engaging and collaborative team player
  • Have a strong customer centric approach with excellent oral and written communication skills to problem solve and support users with varying technical abilities
  • Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience

Desirable experience

  • Certificate III in IT or similar qualification
  • MS-900 or CompTia ++ equivelant
  • Atlassian Admin Experience
  • Exposure to the Atlassian Stack (Jira, Confluence)
  • Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience highly desirable
  • Retail/Leisure industry knowledge and experience
