Job Description
This position will be responsible for the following responsibilities
- Install proprietary wrapping and palletizing equipment, including troubleshooting and maintenance of the equipment within customer's existing manufacturing and production facilities.
- Conduct training classes for peer technicians and onsite for customers with newly installed equipment.
- Perform machine testing on proprietary wrapping and palletizing equipment and components within the company’s facility and at the customers' manufacturing facilities.
- Service newly installed proprietary wrapping and palletizing equipment, including routine maintenance and servicing, troubleshooting potential malfunctions and calibration of this highly complex machinery.
- Perform initial startup and commission of newly installed equipment, including the equipment brands Prima, Casepacker, Stella, Maxima, Forza, Unica, Fama, Dinamica, Ultima and the company’s palletizing systems, within existing production lines, including initial diagnostics to enure optimal functionality.
- Lead training sessions for company technicians and engineers on proprietary wrapping and palletizing equipment and technologies, including developing internal training documents and train the end users at customers’ locations on newly installed equipment and technologies, including safe operating procedures and maintenance routines.
Position allows for telecommuting from anywhere in the continental U.S.
Position requires up to 85% domestic and international travel to Europe, to visit customer facilities to test, install, start-up, demonstrate, and train customers on the operation and maintenance of BW Converting equipment and to liaise with counterparts/facilities in Serbia.
Required Education and Experience
- Position requires a High School Diploma (or foreign degree equivalent) and 8 years of experience.
Must have
- 8 years of experience installing, troubleshooting and training customer’s employees in the safe and efficient operation of a proprietary equipment after installation for use in the paper products industry.
- 8 years of experience working from assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, machine manuals, technical procedures and specifications to install new machines and upgrades.
- 8 years of experience performing routine and/or emergency breakdown mechanical/electrical service on company equipment; including determining root cause of issues and preparing report of findings and solutions to problem.
- 5 years of experience setting up and operating machinery to produce customer’s product, instructing operators in the set-up and operating procedures, and providing technical answers to customer’s questions and business needs.
- 5 years of experience working in machine process control, including specifically Giddings & Lewis, Rockwell, and/or Siemens PLC machinery and tools.
- Must be fluent in the Serbian language to assist in translating training documents & SOP’s, & liaise w/ counterparts in Serbia for technical machine maintenance & troubleshooting using Serbian language technical manuals for complex large-scale machinery produced in Serbia & installed at U.S. sites.
Compensation
The approximate pay range for this position is $80,000–$110,000 annually. Please note that the pay range is a good faith estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location.
