DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Front-facing Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for the department by greeting people, answering phones, and fielding questions from students and visitors about departmental functions.
  • Student Services: Provide information to students regarding office procedures, schedule appointments, and coordinate exam times.
  • Clerical Support: Perform essential administrative tasks, including scanning and organizing documents.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned

SCHEDULE

  • Work shifts available between 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Mondays - Fridays
  • Student must be able to work 3 - 6 hours per week, Mondays - Fridays

RATE OF PAY

  • $16.80 / hour

WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT

  • Federal or L&C Work Study required

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional Skills: The ability to solve problems, stay calm under pressure, and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Personal Attributes: A reliable and responsible individual with an outgoing and friendly personality, who can manage their time effectively to ensure punctuality and provide advance notice for any absences.
  • Communication: A direct and efficient communicator with an understanding of basic office procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Basic Macintosh computer skills are helpful for this position.
  • Inclusivity: The ability to honor and work with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented.
  • When working in the Office of Student Accessibility, employees must dress in business casual attire.

PREFERENCES

  • Work experience in an office setting is a plus but not required.

Eligibility to Work
