Job Description

Visa is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join the Value-Added Services Marketing team, supporting Visa's Risk & Security portfolio. We are looking for someone who can go deep enough into the product to understand how it works, why it matters, and where it fits in the market, while also being able to translate that understanding into clear, compelling stories for sellers, clients, analysts, and internal stakeholders. The right candidate will be equally comfortable digging into product capabilities, flows, demos, technical concepts, and market dynamics as they are creating strong narratives, sales enablement materials, presentations, one-pagers, launch assets, and executive-ready messaging.

This role combines strong product and payments knowledge with exceptional storytelling skills. Candidate should be comfortable working with product managers, technical subject matter experts, sales teams, and senior leaders to translate complex capabilities into clear, differentiated customer value.

This is a Manager -level individual contributor role with significant cross-functional exposure across product, sales, marketing, analyst relations, and business leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop product positioning, messaging, and narratives for Visa's Risk & Security solutions.
  • Create and maintain high-impact sales and marketing assets including pitch decks, one-pagers, demo narratives, sales plays, launch materials, and executive presentations.
  • Partner with product managers, solution specialists, sales teams, and technical experts to translate product capabilities into compelling customer value propositions.
  • Support product launches and go-to-market initiatives through messaging development, content creation, and sales enablement.
  • Partner with regional sales, marketing, and product teams to support strategic client engagements, strengthen competitive differentiation, and identify market opportunities.
  • Support analyst relations activities including analyst briefings, industry evaluations, market research, competitive analysis, and analyst-facing content development.
  • Leverage AI tools and modern workflows to accelerate research, content creation, and productivity while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

This position is a Hybrid role to be based in our Austin, TX office location. Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Experience in product marketing, technical product marketing, solution marketing, product management, sales enablement, go-to-market strategy, or a related field.
  • E xperience in payments, financial services, fintech, fraud prevention, risk management, cybersecurity, identity, authentication, AI/ML solutions, or other complex B2B technology environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex products, technologies, or market concepts into clear, compelling, customer-focused narratives.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with experience creating materials for sales, client, executive, and internal audiences.
  • Experience collaborating across product, sales, marketing, technical, and business teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, navigate ambiguity, and drive initiatives forward without direct authority.
  • Fluency with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Strong knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including issuers, acquirers, merchants, processors, fintechs, fraud prevention, authentication, and digital commerce.
  • Experience with fraud prevention, identity verification, authentication, transaction risk, financial crime, AI-driven risk models, or related risk and security technologies.
  • Experience developing product launch materials, solution narratives, sales plays , executive presentations, or analyst-facing content.
  • Experience working closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists, solution architects, or other technical teams.
  • Ability to interpret technical concepts, product workflows, APIs, solution architectures, or decisioning models and translate them into business value.
  • Experience supporting analyst relations, industry evaluations, competitive intelligence programs, analyst briefings, or market research initiatives.
  • Strong business judgment and ability to balance product accuracy, market relevance, client needs, and commercial storytelling.
  • A portfolio or examples of prior work that demonstrate the ability to simplify complex topics without making them generic.

Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $121,100.00 to $ 193,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
