General Helper/Kitchen Cold Production

WHAT’S THE JOB?

The  General Helper/Kitchen Cold Production  is responsible for assisting in the kitchen operations for our cold commissary, assembling sandwiches, salads, snack cups, general kitchen production, etc. as well as maintenance as well as cleaning and sanitizing of designated kitchen areas, tools, equipment, pots, and dishes. Note this is a seasonal position which coincides with the operation of the school year.

Your work will include

• General kitchen prep - washing produce, cutting vegetables, cutting protein, assembling of sandwiches and salads. cutting fruit, making snack cups.
• Wash, scrub, clean, and sanitize designated kitchen and all aspects within the kitchen
• Keep Kitchen organized
• Clean kitchen floors; sweeping
• Clean refrigerators, ovens, and other kitchen equipment
• Assist with ware washing
• Deep cleaning on a daily/weekly basis of the dish machine, ovens, etc.
• Help keep storage rooms and fridges/freezers cleaned and organized
• Maintaining Records and Logs
• Maintain Garbage room, sort according to waste streams
• Understanding WINNOW

• WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• You have a minimum 1 year kitchen or catering experience in Food Service Industry, hospitality environment or remote lodge setting
• You are fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Require valid Food Safety Certificate and Allergen Safe Certificate to start
• You are able to prioritize multiple demands 
• Physically capable; physical demanding job, fast moving
• Able to lift, carry, push up to 25lbs and for long periods of time
• Full availability required
