About The Role
Finance System Analyst
Key Responsibilities
Finance Systems Management & Support
- Administer, maintain, and support core asset management finance systems and their
- integration to ERP & budget/reforecasting systems (e.g. JDE, Workday, Adaptive).
- Act as the primary contact for finance system issues, troubleshooting, and user support.
- Liaise with IT and vendors for system upgrades, patches, and integrations.
- Ensure system controls and data integrity are maintained at all times.
- Leverage experience with asset management systems such as Miles and Solifi to
- optimise system performance and integration.
Systems Analysis & Process Improvement
- Analyse current finance processes and systems to identify opportunities for automation
- and efficiency.
- Lead or support the implementation of new finance systems or modules, including ERP
- transitioning projects.
- Document system processes, workflows, and user guides.
- Support the continual development and enhancement of reporting systems (e.g., Power
- BI, Tableau).
Data Management & Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely data integration between finance systems and other
- business platforms.
- Develop and maintain financial and operational reports, dashboards, and analytics.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and statutory reporting through system-driven
- processes.
Business Partnering
- Work closely with finance, operations, and IT teams to understand business
- requirements and translate them into system solutions.
- Provide training and guidance to finance system users.
- Foster a collaborative approach to system and process improvement.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure finance systems comply with internal controls, audit, and regulatory
- requirements.
- Support internal and external audit processes related to finance systems and data.
Position Criteria
Capabilities & Behaviours
- Strong technical skills in finance systems administration and support.
- Experience with JDE (JD Edwards), Workday, and Adaptive Insights for ERP and
- budgeting.
- Experience with asset management systems such as Miles and Solifi highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to support ERP transitioning and system integration projects.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Knowledge & Experience
- At least 4+ years in a finance systems analyst or similar role.
- Experience in finance systems implementation, integration, and support.
- Proficiency in data management, reporting, and analysis.
- Familiarity with Australian Accounting Standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience with data transformation and visualisation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Dataiku,
- Power BI, Tableau).
- Direct experience with asset management systems (Miles, Solifi) and ERP transitioning
- is highly beneficial.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, information systems, or related
- field.
- Postgraduate qualifications and/or professional membership (CA ANZ, CPA, CIMA)
- preferred.
