The opportunity

Not every lab job is spent staring at a screen.

As an Assistant Laboratory Technician - Metallurgy , you'll roll up your sleeves and work alongside experienced Metallurgists, helping test, analyse and improve mineral processing outcomes for clients around the world.

One day you could be running laboratory test work, the next assisting with pilot-scale trials or supporting commissioning activities. If you're curious, enjoy practical work and love learning new things, this could be the perfect place to start or grow your career.

What you'll do

• Assist with metallurgical test work and laboratory programs
• Support bench-scale and pilot-scale mineral processing activities
• Collect, record and communicate test results to Metallurgists
• Help deliver testing projects safely, accurately and on schedule
• Contribute ideas that improve safety, efficiency and laboratory performance
• Work closely with technical specialists and engineering teams
• Support plant trials and commissioning activities as required
• Build your knowledge of mineral processing and laboratory operations

What we're looking for

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Previous laboratory experience is advantageous but not essential
• Strong focus on safety and teamwork
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying and moving materials
• Forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one, highly regarded
• Interest in minerals, science, engineering or processing industries
