About the role
The primary focus of the role will be to support the implementation of the University’s international recruitment strategy working closely with the Ireland-based team. You will deliver recruitment and conversion activities targeting prospective undergraduate and postgraduate students, leading to applications and enrolment from students across the Southeast Asia region.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Working closely with the Ireland based Regional Recruitment Officer for Southeast Asia to implement student recruitment and conversion strategies for the region.
- Liaise closely with colleagues from the international recruitment and admissions teams and develop working relationships with a range of stakeholders in other areas of the University, including faculty members involved in international activities.
- Produce annual regional recruitment plans in support of the Regional Officer, including the provision of data-led insights to inform effective planning.
- Support the Recruitment & Partnerships Manager with monthly data analysis and reporting on international recruitment trends, recruitment channel analysis, performance metrics and other relevant insight to inform strategic decisions.
- Contribute to monitoring and reporting on the regional recruitment budget in line with strategic priorities.
- Responsible for the engagement of key stakeholders in Southeast Asia, including agents, schools, pathway providers, sponsors and partner universities. Managing and developing key relationships.
- Manage day-to-day communications with prospective students, parents, and other key stakeholders delivering an excellent experience. This includes management of the relevant enquiry sources.
- Use the CRM system to accurately record, track and manage prospective student interactions.
- Prepare and deliver recruitment and promotional presentations and workshops to a range of audiences including potential students and their parents; staff in schools and colleges; agents; government bodies and partner universities, both in person and via online communication methods.
- Lead and deliver conversion campaigns to guide prospective students through each stage of their application journey, ensuring they stay engaged and complete the process successfully.
- Co-ordinate visits to key markets in the region by senior members of staff at the University including the delivery of itineraries and briefings.
- Contribute to other activities to support international recruitment objectives as directed by the Regional Officer and the Recruitment and Partnerships Manager.
Background
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles related to international student recruitment, marketing and PR.
- Demonstrable success in delivering successful student recruitment strategies.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the Irish Higher Education system and knowledge of the broader external market environment for international education.
- Experience representing a known higher education institution is desirable.
- Minimum qualification: Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong English fluency. Proficient in business writing. Able to discuss strategy and analysis with English speakers.
- Experience of public speaking, including presenting to an audience.
- Experience of managing, processing and analysing data.
- Ability to work independently but also effectively as part of a wider team.
- The ability to travel frequently within Southeast Asia - up to 12 weeks per year.
- Voluntary or other life experience that demonstrates creativity, hard work, persistence or drive to succeed.
