FlexStaff is seeking an exceptional Office Administrator/Insurance Verification Specialist to lead our client’s front office and master the critical function of insurance verification, ensuring seamless patient journeys and robust financial health.
Responsibilities
As our Office Administrator/Insurance Verification Specialist, you'll wear multiple hats, each crucial to our success. You'll be the expert who:
- Leads & Empowers: Take charge of our administrative support staff, providing training, supervision, and mentorship to ensure the highest level of customer service and operational efficiency. You'll foster a team that truly shines!
- Masters Insurance Verification: Become the definitive expert in insurance verification and pre-authorization. You'll meticulously obtain accurate information via all appropriate methods, ensuring every patient's financial journey is clear and compliant.
- Guards Our Revenue: Oversee the daily processing of all billing, ensuring it's accurate, timely, and impeccably documented. You'll be the safeguard of our financial integrity.
- Ensures Compliance & Accuracy: Dive into clinician charts, reviewing them for completeness, accuracy, and full compliance with all regulations.
- Strategic Scheduler: Expertly coordinate practitioner schedules to guarantee optimal patient appointment coverage and efficient handling of out-of-office calls.
- Reports for Success: Provide or oversee the timely reporting of key statistics to management, offering vital insights into sales, revenue, cash flow, and patient dynamics.
- Office Maestro: Keep our operations running smoothly! From managing petty cash and maintaining office supplies to perfecting our filing systems, you'll ensure everything is organized and accessible.
- Collaborates & Supports: Provide essential clerical support when needed, stepping in to assist with phones, mail, and document preparation.
Qualifications
We're looking for a highly organized, finance-savvy leader with a passion for precision.
- Healthcare Financial Acumen:
- A complete understanding of medical reimbursement and terminology.
- Strong knowledge of state, federal, and regional collection and reimbursement laws.
- Proven experience in patient financial counseling, with the ability to train and coach others in these critical skills.
- Leadership & Communication Prowess:
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral (including telephone), and written communication skills.
- The ability to inspire, manage, and develop administrative staff.
- Organizational Virtuoso:
- Excellent organizational skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to seamlessly manage multiple tasks.
- Superb time management with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Extensive knowledge of office management procedures.
- Tech-Savvy Navigator:
- Advanced computer skills, including Windows-based office technologies and automated billing systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (or related software), with the ability to train/coach others.
- Proficient in using all necessary office equipment (facsimile, calculator, postage machine, copiers, scanner), with the ability to train/coach others.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate degree in office administration or related field (preferred).
- At least three (3) years of comprehensive administrative and clerical experience (required).
- At least three (3) years of dedicated healthcare billing/collections experience (required).
- Experience in Orthopedics (preferred).
- Familiarity with O&P Software (Medflex/OPIE) is a definite plus!
