About The Role
As a Project Engineer II here at Honeywell Technologies, you will oversee and manage capital projects for our Process Technology ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) business unit. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects, from initiation to completion, while meeting safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
You will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of one of our PT ISC locations - Houston, TX, Baton Rouge, LA, Mobile, AL, or Shreveport, LA, on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the organization by ensuring that capital projects are executed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. Your leadership will be pivotal in optimizing project outcomes and aligning them with our strategic objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage capital expenditure projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress against these metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and best practices.
- Manage the entire lifecycle of capital projects, including planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Work closely with the business finance and site controller to provide project evaluation and economic analysis on the capital investments for such managed projects.
- Manage the overall effort leading to an approved Appropriation Request (AR).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Responsible for forecasting and managing capital expenditures monthly.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental requirements.
- Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
YOU MUST HAVE
- 5+ years of experience in project management within an industrial type of environment.
- 2+ years of experience working with capital expenditure processes and project management methodologies.
- 3+ years of experience working in project management tools and software, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
- 1+ year of experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
- 1+ year analyzing project performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
WE VALUE
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, with a focus on delivering projects on time
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the petrochemical or refining industry.
- Familiarity with procurement and contract management.
- Previous experience working with SAP Project Systems Module and EcoSys.
