Job Summary

The Supervisor Operations Education and Professional Development leads a team dedicated to effective and engaging professional development, leadership growth, and workforce pipeline programming for all system caregivers, and leaders, as well as community partners participating in our learning opportunities. Team initiatives address internal professional development priorities, regulatory requirements, and the strategic talent needs of the organization.

This role partners with empowered departmental subgroups to ensure high-quality execution while continuously shaping departmental offerings in response to organizational strategy, workforce needs, and regulatory requirements. Expertise in instructional design, adult learning theory, performance improvement, and program evaluation drives this work. This position is intentionally designed to develop director-level capability, supporting succession within the Education and Professional Development function. Reports to the Director of Education & Professional Development. Demonstrates commitment to self-development and role models the G3 Leadership Competencies to advance the Monument Health vision and mission.

Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Education – Coordinates and consults on the design and delivery of leadership and professional development programming, shaping offerings to reflect best practice, organizational strategy, and emerging workforce needs across all caregiver and leader populations.
  • Competency – Partners with leaders and subgroup teams to assess, develop, and maintain competency frameworks that are responsive to regulatory expectations and evolving organizational demands.
  • Orientation and Onboarding – Provides coordination and oversight for onboarding and pipeline programming, adapting design as organizational strategy and workforce composition evolve to ensure role readiness and long-term retention.
  • Inquiry – Champions evidence-informed practice and continuous improvement, using program evaluation data, KPIs, and emerging trends to shape departmental strategy — including leading annual strategic planning and horizon-scanning for regulatory shifts and organizational priorities.
  • Role Development – Connects development experiences to career pathways and organizational talent strategy, identifying gaps and building solutions that support caregiver and leader growth across the system.
  • Collaborative Partnerships – Builds and sustains internal and external partnerships that expand the strategic reach of the department, consulting with system leaders to co-design responsive solutions and maintaining community and academic relationships that support workforce pipeline development.
  • Provides direct leadership for team members within assigned functional areas, fostering subgroup autonomy, growth, and high performance.
  • Manages Education and Professional Development operations budget within area of responsibility in alignment with strategic priorities.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

Required

Education – Bachelor's Degree in Education, Healthcare Related Field, Business, or Organizational Development

Preferred

Education – Master's Degree in related field

Experience – 2+ years each in a leadership/supervisory role, project management, and professional or talent development; APTD or CPTD certification a plus

Scheduling Requirements: Requires the ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department.

Physical Requirements: Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects. Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances.
