Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for performing demolition, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and related construction duties to support project completion. Executes tasks independently to ensure timely and quality project outcomes. Collaborates with team members to address project needs and resolve issues. Maintains safety standards and adheres to project specifications in all work performed.

Essential Functions

Installs metal studding, framing, and ceiling structures.
Installs, finishes, sands, and paints drywall and ceilings.
Installs door frames, hangs doors, and installs all types of trim.
Runs copper lines and brazes connections, excluding medical gas.
Runs drain lines for plumbing fixtures.
Runs control wiring as directed.
Installs light fixtures, head walls, and related trim.
Applies and installs all types of fireproofing materials.
Performs field changes to blueprints and documents modifications.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement

High school diploma or equivalent experience

Experience Requirement

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.
Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.

Physical Demands

This position requires regular lifting, pushing, and/or pulling of objects weighing up to 50 pounds; regular standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds and up to 25 pounds; intermittent lifting, pushing, and/or pulling of objects over 50 pounds; intermittent sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and intermittent performance of tasks with repetitive motions. Also involves intermittent risk of back injury from moving, lifting, or positioning equipment or materials; intermittent risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; intermittent exposure to loud noises, temperature extremes, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, and cuts/punctures. Occasional work at heights above 4 feet, in confined spaces, exposure to burns, and occasional job-related travel may also be required.
