Radiographer Per Diem

Responsible for X-raying patient using radiologic equipment that produces radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the Radiologist. Generates high-quality images of patients in order to assist with diagnosis and treatment. Prepares and maintains records and files as directed

Principal Accountabilities

1. Performs and provides appropriate imaging and treatment processes in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines.
2. Demonstrates knowledge of a variety of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and proper care and sanitization of all equipment.
3. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient queries or concerns.
4. Maintains all equipment for procedures, assesses safety, physical, and physiological comfort of patient.
5. Monitors need for procedure revisions and coordinates daily imaging procedures.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Minimum of two (2) years of general diagnostic radiologic experience in the Operating Room required. Looking for a candidate who is a team player to assist in the not just radiology tasks but also to assist in the efficiency of the operating room.
• Must be a graduate of an AMA approved Radiology Technology Program
• NJ State License required.
