Project Manager - Senior

About The Role
- Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.
- Acts as the Company representative with the client, contractor(s) and selected suppliers during the project execution. Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the client.
- Assists business development in understanding client issues and business plans in order to market and secure new/additional work.
- Promotes technical excellence on the project, including furtherance of the Quality Improvement Process.
- Ensuring that the Company Health, Safety, Environment & Quality policies are correctly adhered to by all personnel.
- Mobilizes Company resources, through effective liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.
- Works with individual team members to develop budgets, schedules and plans for the various elements of a project. Ensures that the project meets or exceeds goals established in these plans.
- Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates after careful assessment of how to utilize their qualifications and strengths. Provides input to performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.
- Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions which would affect project cost or schedule.
- Works with discipline leads to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advises the client and Company management of any such changes.
- Completes other responsibilities associated with the position as may be appropriate.
- Degree qualified in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Ocean) with 17+ years’ experience in Subsea, Project Management, Design Contractor or relevant Contracting Company.
- Minimum 5 years managing major contract engineering projects with engineering scopes in excess of $5MM or durations greater than 1 year
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing integrated discipline teams in excess of 20 people
- PMP Certification or equivalent recommended
- Excellent management and leadership skills
- Demonstrable and documentable experience with coaching and developing others
- Passion for project and organizational success
- Established relationships within the industry and skill area
- Ability and experience working in a fast-track, dynamic project environment with enhanced decision making responsibilities
