The Opportunity

Join our Aviation team and gain hands-on experience supporting the design and delivery of critical airport electrical infrastructure across Canada. As an Electrical Engineering Co-op Student, you'll work alongside industry-leading engineers and technical specialists, contributing to projects that help keep airports safe, efficient, resilient, and connected.
This is an opportunity to develop practical engineering experience while supporting complex aviation projects involving airfield electrical systems, lighting, power distribution, communications, and airport infrastructure modernization.
Your Impact
- Support the planning and design of electrical systems for airport and aviation infrastructure projects.
- Assist in preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents.
- Contribute to the design of airfield lighting, power distribution, communications, and related airport systems.
- Participate in field investigations, site reviews, and data collection activities to support project delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, transportation, and environmental professionals.
- Assist project teams with quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and engineering analyses.
- Support quality management processes to help ensure technical accuracy and project excellence.
- Build the skills and knowledge needed to contribute to safe, reliable, and sustainable aviation infrastructure.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering degree program.
- Eligible to participate in a recognized co-op or internship program.
- Strong interest in aviation, transportation, and infrastructure design.
- Familiarity with electrical engineering principles, power systems, and building or infrastructure design.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, AGi32, ETAP, or other engineering software is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in team environments.
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to participate in occasional site visits, where required.

Compensation
- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $22.00 – $32.25
- MB & ON: $20.50 – $30.25
- NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $19.50 – $30.25
