About The Role

Audio/Visual and Computer Technician

***This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) security clearance with the ability to obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph clearance.***

A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.

The Audio/Visual and Computer Technician will assist with the design and build of Joint Military Attaché School (JMAS) presentations. The A/V and Computer Technician must be knowledgeable of instructional methods in audio and visual techniques as well as the operation of audio, video, and information technology/computer equipment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay commensurate with experience. Estimated Starting Salary: $115,000-$130,000.

Audio/Visual and Computer Technician Responsibilities Include

  • Assist with the design and build of JMAS presentations.
  • Provide consultation and recommendations on course materials and presentation design.
  • Assist with design and presentation of audio/visual instructional presentations.
  • Assist in the update and/or maintenance of visual aids and lecture materials to ensure they meet modern, professional presentation standards and internal organizational specifications.
  • Responsible for recording all JMAS lessons and the subsequent catalog, media library management, archiving and media disposal.
  • Provide audio/visual end user support and troubleshoot classroom audio/visual and computer systems.
  • Provide training for instructors, staff, and students on the range of IT equipment used by the school.
  • Oversee the creation and management of JMAS student computer accounts.
  • Act as the JMAS liaison to the Academy for Defense Intelligence (ADI) and DIA Information Technology issues.
  • Oversee and manage all student and faculty laptop computers, non-network printers, and associated supplies required to perform training tasks in seminar rooms, program classrooms, and exercises.
  • Maintain all computer and printer systems in a fully operational status.
  • Maintain a log of the operational status of all systems.
  • Provide offsite IT services in support of JMAS exercises.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Audio/Visual and Computer Technician Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested

  • Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a Counterintelligence polygraph.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in information technology and/or audio-visual technology.
  • Minimum of four (4) courses in an associated discipline.
  • Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Experience with military personnel in the Department of Defense (DoD) preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
