Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer – High Voltage 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer – High Voltage to join our innovative and forward-thinking team. Support business operations and customers as a technical expert and represent the team in internal and external engineering forums

Contribute to intellectual property strategy, identify risks, and support effective risk management in R&D projects

Your background

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field

5–10 years of experience in R&D or engineering, preferably in high voltage equipment or components

Strong expertise in the design and development of high voltage components (experience with bushings is an advantage)

Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Solid understanding of business processes and R&D environments

Proven experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration

Basic understanding of intellectual property considerations in R&D
