Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - ER

Full Time, Days

• This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.
• Under close supervision of a licensed nurse, provides basic and intermediate nursing care for assigned group of patients based on competence.
• General Nursing Units care for patients from age 18 years to maturity. Unit specific variation may apply.
• Special Care Areas care for patients 18 years through adult with high-risk conditions.
• Maternal Child Units: Labor and Delivery care includes patients who have a pregnancy related condition.
• Nursery care includes care for the newborn until discharge.
• Endoscopy Unit cares for patients 18 years and older.
• Emergency Department provides care to patients of all ages.
• Behavioral Health/Gero-Psych Unit provides care for patients 17 years and older requiring psychiatric care. Completes established
• competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
• MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent.

PREFERRED EDUCATION

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year hospital experience
• REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of a current state or national nurse’s aide
• certification or a certification as a phlebotomist, medical technician, patient care technician, medical
• assistant, EKG tech or in another related field.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE

REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS –Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center.
