Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Document Control Manager to our team.

Reporting to the appropriate Operations, Engineering, or Quality leader, the Document Control Manager will lead the document control function responsible for engineering documentation, product configuration control, engineering change management, and document governance processes. This role provides the opportunity to drive operational excellence through effective document management systems, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration while leading a team responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of product and manufacturing records. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance, supporting customer requirements, and enabling efficient product lifecycle management across the organization.

What a Typical Day Looks Like

  • Lead and manage all document control activities, including engineering change orders (ECOs), bills of materials (BOMs), part masters, specifications, drawings, approved vendor lists, and related documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Oversee document release packages, document revision control, configuration management, and change implementation processes while ensuring documents are properly maintained, distributed, archived, and retrievable.
  • Serve as the primary document control focal point for customer programs and internal stakeholders, partnering closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, materials, and program management teams to coordinate and implement product changes.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve document control procedures, systems, governance standards, and performance metrics to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop document control personnel, establish team goals, manage performance, and drive execution of strategic initiatives supporting business and customer objectives.

The Experience We're Looking to Add to the Team

  • Strong document control, configuration management, engineering change management, and records management expertise.
  • Experience managing engineering documentation, BOM structures, part masters, specifications, drawings, and controlled document systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent, and drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, quality, materials, and program management organizations.
  • Experience utilizing ERP systems, document management systems, databases, and Microsoft Office applications, including advanced spreadsheet and reporting capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to analyze technical documentation, develop process improvements, establish metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires 8+ years of document control, engineering services, manufacturing support, or related experience, including leadership responsibility.

 The base pay range for this position is provided below. The final base rate offered will be determined using job-related, non-discriminatory criteria, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, geographic location, education, external market data, and internal equity.

$101,500.00 USD - $139,600.00 USD Annual
