Summary of Job Duties
The Research Graduate Assistant (GA) position in the Sequoyah National Research Center (hereafter, Center) involves assisting the Director with research on topics related to Native American history and culture. This GA will work twenty (20) hours a week on the project. Besides conducting research, the GA will work with the Director in defining research topics for other students.This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Qualifications
Required Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree;
- Regular admission to a UA Little Rock Graduate Program of study and enrolled in nine (9) credit hours;
- Minimum GPA of 3.0;
- Professionalism, attention to detail, and strong communication.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Notify the appropriate chair, graduate coordinator and/or supervisor when absent;
- Work with diverse populations;
- Coordinate long-term, multi-layered projects that require collaboration with others inside and outside of your office;
- Organizational skills to organize different projects;
- Be accessible to students or colleagues through email and scheduled appointments;
- Prepare materials as needed as determined by chair, graduate coordinator, and/or supervisor;
- Maintain records and meet deadlines as required by administration;
- Respect confidentiality of all individuals, comport with FERPA requirements;
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
