About The Role

The Facilities Manager oversees all building-related activities. The role is responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well functioning.

General Responsibilities

Manages the design, planning, construction, renovation of buildings and infrastructure
Plans, budgets, and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor, materials and other related costs
Develop and deploy organizational policies relevant to the facilities department
Manages the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion
Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
Develops plans and programs that meet present and anticipated space and facility requirements
Manages the monitoring and inspecting of all buildings and equipment to ensure that utility systems are fully operational and that preventive maintenance schedules are being followed
Prepares cost estimates for building renovations or space allocations

Experience / Qualifications

A university degree required ( i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
Ability to lead, coach, and develop team members• Holds self and others accountable to achieving goals and standards
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
