 Job Description

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage but not mandatory

Primary Responsibilities

Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities within agreed timelines.
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments.
Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Support account receivable and payable processes.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly.
Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to queries.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies.
Assist with statutory filings, tax reporting, and other regulatory compliance activities.
Monitor accounting transactions to ensure internal controls are followed.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and shared service teams to resolve accounting issues.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and system enhancement projects as required.

Key Skills

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations, audit support, and statutory compliance.
Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO preferred).
Experience working in a multinational or shared services environment is an advantage.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
Positive attitude, ownership mindset, and commitment to meeting deadlines.
