About The Role
Perform special duties as assigned. Promote and practice safe work habits while performing basic repairs and services on light, heavy duty, and diesel trucks; road construction and maintenance equipment; hydraulic systems; and electrical components.
How you will contribute
- Diagnose and Repair : Diagnose, repair and complete basic tasks on a variety of equipment types such as tires, brakes, lighting, pumps, and valves. Use basic scan tools to read and clear check engine light codes.
- Perform Manual Labor : Prepare, process, and maintain required maintenance and repair documentation. Generate documents and work orders in computer system. Perform time and leave entry in appropriate systems.
- Perform duties as assigned. :
- Preventative Maintenance : Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule and guidelines.

- Knowledge of general shop procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to perform manual labor.
- Ability to read and comprehend and apply information from service and equipment manuals.
- Ability to record and maintain data in computer systems.
- Knowledge of general shop procedures.
- Safety shoes required.
- Skill in performing light vehicle services and repairs.
- Skill in the use of computers for research, navigation and communication.
- Valid driver’s license.
Additional Considerations
- A combination of training, experience, or education in Equipment Repair, Auto Repair, or related field desired.
- Knowledge of general welding practices.
- Knowledge of laptop and/or hand-held diagnostic programs.
