The PMO Launch Preparedness Manager translates strategic direction into disciplined, measurable execution, ensuring every product is delivered on time, with full cross-functional alignment.

This role owns the integrated launch plans, keeps squads accountable, manages risks and dependencies proactively, and gives leadership real-time visibility into the status of every launch in the portfolio. The ideal candidate combines strong PMO discipline with Agile/Scrum facilitation skills and the ability to hold diverse teams accountable while keeping trust and engagement high.

Main Responsibilities

  • Launch Execution : Leads day-to-day execution of active launches across all franchises, translating launch plans into clear workstreams with owners, timelines, and deliverables, and serving as the main point of contact for launch-related questions and escalations.
  • Integrated Planning & Governance : Manages integrated launch plans across multiple products/franchises, keeps timelines synchronized across workstreams, and facilitates governance rituals (checkpoints, stage-gate reviews).
  • Agile/Scrum Facilitation : Acts as Scrum Master for launch squads, runs agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, reviews), and promotes continuous improvement and best practices.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination : Coordinates multidisciplinary squads, keeping execution aligned and on track with established timelines.
  • Reporting & Dashboards : Builds and maintains launch dashboards (status, KPIs, milestones, risks), producing regular reports for leadership and governance forums with actionable insights.
  • Risk & Dependency Management : Identifies, monitors, and mitigates risks and dependencies across workstreams, maintains updated logs, and escalates critical issues promptly.
  • Accountability & Team Performance : Holds workstream owners accountable for deliverables and deadlines, follows up on action items, and fosters execution discipline within launch teams.

About you

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields
  • Postgraduate or MBA is a plus

Experience

  • 3–5 years in PMO, program/project management, or launch excellence roles
  • Pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences experience highly valued
  • Proven experience facilitating Agile/Scrum in cross-functional teams
  • Track record managing multiple concurrent workstreams in a matrixed environment.

Skills & Competencies

  • Agile/Scrum: hands-on ceremony facilitation and team coaching; CSM/PSM certification a plus
  • Project management: strong organization, prioritization, and attention to detail
  • Stakeholder management: clear communication across all levels
  • Tools: MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet (or equivalent), Power BI
  • Reporting: advanced Excel/PowerPoint; ability to turn data into insights
  • Collaboration : collaborative excellence across functions; relationship builder who interacts effectively, adds value, and fosters trust​
  • Purpose-driven with a sense of belonging, curiosity for the new, and openness to fresh experiences

Languages: fluent English; native/fluent Portuguese

Nice to Have

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or Scrum Master certification (CSM/PSM)
  • Prior pharmaceutical launch experience (any franchise)
  • Experience in matrixed, cross-functional global organizations
  • Change management or continuous improvement background (Lean, Six Sigma)
