What You Will Do
- Lead the implementation and execution of company-wide safety programs across mission-critical projects.
- Serve as the on-site technical safety advisor to project management and field teams.
- Conduct routine jobsite inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to identify and mitigate risk.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and all applicable regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and review High Risk Activities (HRAs), permitted work, and critical lift/crane plans.
- Evaluate trade partner safety programs and policies to ensure alignment with project and regulatory requirements.
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement effective corrective actions.
- Proactively identify unsafe behaviors and conditions; engage project teams and trade partners to drive immediate resolution.
- Develop and deliver safety training, new hire orientations, and toolbox talks to reinforce site safety culture.
- Partner with project managers and superintendents to integrate safety into daily planning and execution.
- Review and validate Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), and Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) for accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in pre-task planning, project coordination, and scheduling meetings to ensure safe work sequencing.
- Monitor trade partner safety performance and enforce compliance with project safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate and timely safety documentation, reports, and project records.
- Serve as the primary safety liaison with clients, inspectors, and regulatory agencies.
- Working Conditions – Construction setting, travel required, full-time. Must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for long periods, lift and hold more than 50 lbs, talk, hear, and occasionally sit. Must have the ability to withstand confined spaces and or/extreme heights while negotiating tasks at hand in a safe manner to themselves and/or others. Subject to hot, cold, humid, and wet conditions depending on location.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills. Working knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations.
- OSHA 30-hour certification required; First Aid/CPR/AED certification required (OSHA 500/510 and Competent Person designations preferred).
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CHST, or ASP are preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and other safety management platforms.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program, preferably in Safety, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5–10+ years of construction safety experience, preferably with a general contractor.
- Experience conducting site inspections, hazard assessments and safety training.
While the salary range is typically between $97,000 - $120,000 annually, applicants are encouraged to share compensation expectations as part of the application process. Caddell honors prior experience, education, and qualifications of applicants in order to make attractive and competitive offers.
